itinerary of the museums and archaeological sites of the Collectivité de Corse

Since 1 January 2018, and the advent of the Collectivité de Corse, the Direction du Patrimoine de la Collectivité de Corse has been managing five museums with the "Musées de France" label and four archaeological sites: - the Museum of Corsica and the Citadel of Corti, - the Pasquale PAOLI Museum, in the heart of the A strada Paolina itinerary, - the archaeological complex of Aleria with the museum, the ancient site and the conservation and study centre, - the Alta Rocca Museum, linked to the archaeological site of Cucuruzzu-Capula, - the Archaeology Museum of Corsica and the CEE of Sartè, in connection with the megalithic site of Cauria, Aleria, - the site of Araguina-Senola. Our strategy consists in pooling all the existing strengths and means, in organising joint actions and in attracting the curiosity of the public from one establishment to the others. This heritage itinerary represents today a strong cultural stake for our Collectivity, for the territories concerned and for the whole of Corsica. It is a question of taking up the challenge of a project which considers the museum and archaeological heritage as a richness, as a field of experimentation and innovation to think the Corsica of tomorrow, at the crossroads of education, culture and tourism. The opening to the Mediterranean and the exchange of know-how is also an important issue for our establishments and sites, hence the added value and interest of being part of the great itinerary of the GRITACCESS strategic project.
