Rossiglione

On the borders of Liguria, when the slope that descends from the Turchino Pass becomes more and more the Po Valley and everything is about to become Piedmont, we find the village of Rossiglione. Or rather, it would be better to say "the villages", given the dual characteristic that makes this centre a whole, divided into two agglomerations: Upper Rossiglione and Lower Rossiglione, following the order imposed by the flow of the Stura river. There are many reasons to dedicate an itinerary to Rossiglione in search of the ethnographic roots of Liguria. There is no shortage of historical and artistic evidence, which we suggest you visit. First off all, there are two fine churches, each one a guardian of the faith of the two villages: Santa Caterina, for Upper Rossiglione, and Nostra Signora Assunta, for Lower Rossiglione. Alongside the architectural beauties, the no lesser natural beauty of Rossiglione proves to be worth a visit. Starting from the beautiful Val Gargassa, a naturalistic oasis of the highest quality, a destination for nature lovers and trekkers. Contact with nature and with an ancient way of interacting with it is represented by the farms of the "Milk Valleys", which know how to combine modernity and ancient crafts. At the highest point of the road leading to the Ovadese area, right where it crosses the pass into Piedmont, a large bench of the Big Bench Community Project speaks to us about the future, sustainability and the commons. At the heart of the itinerary is the Museum of Pastime, an interesting archive of the memory of the little things of the 20th century.
