The Luri Heritage Trail

The Luri Heritage Trail is a place to walk and discover the heritage of the area, but in the past it had a very different function. Until the 1950s, it was a strong element in the organisation of rural space and habitat and enabled relationships and exchanges at the scale of a community and a micro-region. Thus the heritage trail once served countless gardens. It also follows, in part, the path leading to Col Sainte Lucie. Dry stone walls, embankments, (embanked) paving stones, gullies and other installations remain fragile testimonies to the importance given in the past to these communication routes between people and their land. Through this excursion, visitors are invited on a journey into the past of Luri and its inhabitants.
