Carpenissone

In the heart of San Colombano Certenoli lies the village of Carpenissone. Lying astride a beautiful sunny ridge, the village is an oasis of peace and quiet, rightly enlivened by a refreshment point that welcomes travellers at the beginning of the village. In a skilful alternation of fountains and stone houses, the village is characterised by an imposing oak tree, unfortunately struck by lightning and which remains there, lying and hollow, to testify to the incredible power that this natural phenomenon can have. Close to the oak tree is the very old church, testimony to the historical importance of the village and its past culture. In Carpenissone you can breathe an atmosphere suspended in time, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, and completely devoid of the frenzy of contemporary life. This offers an experience of reconciliation with a deeper self that cannot fail to impress the visitor.
