GR22 San Bruzio Abbey, Magliano in Toscana

The ruins of the Abbey of San Bruzio (originally called San Tiburzio) are located in open country, two kilometers away from the town of Magliano in the province of Grosseto. It is possible to reach them via the road from Magliano to Sant’Andrea, making a left turn on to the indicated trail, and travelling for no more than another 200 meters. Today, visiting the ruins of the Abbey, one can still admire the elegant capitals, decorated with numerous sculptures in the French-Lombard style, and very original for the Maremma.
