MC08 The Civic Museum of Marble - Carrara

Established in 1982 by the Municipality of Carrara, the Civic Museum of Marble is the central repository of the town's history. bringing together aspects of its culture with the aim of preserving and enhancing it. It is an exhibition centre dedicated to the production and processing of marble in the Apuan Alps. The museum’s extensive collection includes archaeological finds from the quarry, as well as mining and processing tools that will give the visitor a complete picture of the most fascinating local tradition.
