LI16 ”The Medici Canals” – Boat Tour

A special tour, for visiting Livorno, is the one which can be made by boat on the so-called Medici Canals. This approximately hour-long visit leads passengers through the most distinctive and hidden places of the city: from the Piazza della Repubblica, passing under the grand 240 meters-high arch, one arrives in the picturesque district of Ovo Sodo, and then, continuing along the Fosso Reale, to the historic Central Market, considered to be Europe’s most beautiful covered market. Across the charming waterways, the journey moves forward, displaying the commercial and maritime spirit of Livorno, in a unique and unforgettable experience.
