GR06 Portus Scabris Archaeological Museum -- Scarlino

The Portus Scabris Museum was founded in 2009, in order to give public access to the scientific data related to the marine archaeological project preventatively carried out between 2000 and 2001, at the time of the construction of the tourist port in the roadstead of Portiglioni. These underwater excavations brought to light an enormous and widely extended deposit of artifacts, accumulated over the centuries on the seabed of the Puntone area of Scarlino.
