GR01 The Museum of Maremma Archaeology and Art - Museum of Sacred Art of the Grosseto Diocese

The Museum of Maremma Archaeology and Art -- Museum of Sacred Art of the Grosseto Diocese occupies, in the centre of Grosseto, the nineteenth century palace of the Old Law-Courts. Arranged across three storeys, and divided into five sections and forty rooms, the Museum takes visitors through the entire history of the Maremma, from prehistoric times to the birth of the Etruscan cities, from the Roman conquest to the Middle Ages and the modern era, with exhibits of art and archaeology.
