The port of Villefranche Darse and its surroundings

Discovery of the port history of Villefranche-sur-Mer
Villefranche-sur-Mer is one of the essential stops on the coastal strip of the Alpes-Maritimes, with a harbor in which many ships can anchor easily, two marinas and a ferry terminal to accommodate cruise passengers. The village consists of an old town with buildings with colorful facades, a 16th century citadel, a church and a Saint Pierre chapel decorated by Jean Cocteau. The stopover at the royal port of Darse, allows you to discover this set built in the middle of the 16th century at the same time as the citadel and some elements of which are still visible: the refit basin, the Old forge ", the lazaretto, or the old Corderie.
